WPForms is a great new plugin from the team behind WPBeginner and OptinMonster.
It’s built on the premise of simplifying the process of creating forms while still offering maximum functionality, and it does it brilliantly.
It does this in two ways:
- Cleverly designed user interface – WPForms has a custom interface that looks very different to what you might expect to see within a WordPress contact form plugin, but that’s a good thing because the UI of most plugins can be very limiting.
- Add-on modules – You only have to install the add-ons for the features you need. For example, if you want to use conditional logic, install the add-on. If you don’t, then the plugin will be a little less cluttered.
There’s also a lite version which you can get for free here, although it does have limited features.

SumoMe Contact Form
SumoMe’s Contact Form works in a different way to most plugins on this list, and that’s a good thing.
Contact Form is an app that can be used on any website that supports HTML, but the WordPress plugin allows you to install it with ease.
The main feature that stands out is the ability to add a “contact us” button to either side of your website. When a user clicks, they’ll be greeted with a contact form.
You can customize the fields and colors easily while being able to setup auto-response emails that let people know their message has been received.
When it comes to adding contact forms directly, you can do that too but instead of using the shortcode approach, you select an area of your site that forms will be added to automatically.
You can then use display rules to decide which pages these forms will appear on.
So, maybe you want to add a form to sales pages, your contact page and a few others – you can specify these URL’s and ensure the forms don’t show anywhere else.
SumoMe has a range of apps, all designed to help you give your website a boost. So after you install the Contact Form app, you could use other apps to build your email list or add social sharing buttons to your website.
- Messages are stored in the app so you can access them easily
- Simple interface that allows for quick and easy customization
- An auto-response email is sent to each contact that messages you
- Add calls to action to your pages that open up your contact form
- Choose the position of the contact form on your site
Price: Free with the option of a pro account to remove branding and add extra features
